I think anyone who had weapons probably could not help themselves but to take them out in this situation.

Of course, this example illustrates a number of problems. First, it made sense why Chinese government banned guns. And I remember when I was a child my family had an air gun for shooting birds. Then suddenly one day the government ordered that all of the air guns and hunting rifles must be turned over.
